Johnny Cash makes a guest appearance in Ken Bruen's contribution to
Borderland Noir, a new anthology of stories and essays of love and death across the Rio Grande.
The writers from Ireland, the USA and Mexico also include Manuel Ramos, Tom Russell, James Sallis and Martín Solares.
Some of them will be in Dublin on 10 November to give readings from the anthology, during a show by Alejandro Gómez de Tuddo. The Irish Georgian Society is hosting Koimeterion I, the Mexican photographer's exhibition of images of Irish and Mexican cemeteries, from Ballinspittle in County Cork to Chahue in Oaxaca.
Borderland Noir is edited by Craig McDonald and published by Betimes Books.
