Nicola Walker stars in 'Unforgotten'

Nicola Walker adds two more police characters to her CV this month. She stars in both the new BBC crime series River and ITV's six-part police procedural Unforgotten alongside Sanjeev Bhaskar. In the latter they play a pair of detectives dealing with a cold case from four decades ago.
The bones of a 17-year-old man are found in a demolished house. Jimmy Sullivan has been bludgeoned to death. The four potential suspects are Father Robert Greaves (Bernard Hill), Sir "Frank" Philip Cross (Trevor Eve), Lizzie Wilton (Ruth Sheen), and Eric Slater (Tom Courtenay).

But who is the murdered boy and what happened in 1976 to prompt his murder? Each suspect has a past they’d rather stay buried.
The series goes out on Thursdays from 8 October at 9pm.

Other police roles

Among Nicola's other police roles, she played a WPC in Jonathan Creek (1998), a DI in Touching Evil (1997-1999), a DS in the movie Shiner (2000), a DC in A Mother’s Son (2012), a DCI in Prisoners’ Wives (2013), and an Assistant Commissioner in Babylon (2014).

She was also in several seasons of Spooks as Ruth Evershed, a Senior Intelligence Analyst seconded from GCHQ to MI5.
