Best-selling Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbø visits Dublin this April in an event marking the launch of the International Literature Festival Dublin.
He will give an evening talk in the RDS Concert Hall on 21 April about his latest Inspector Harry Hole thriller, Tørst (The Thirst), and the forthcoming film adaptation of the seventh Harry Hole novel, The Snowman. Michael Fassbender plays the detective, with the cinema release due on 13 October 2017.
It’s also the 20th anniversary of Nesbø's first Harry Hole outing in The Bat. The book was a massive hit, and Nesbø is now published in 50 languages.
He began his career playing football until a ligament injury. He has also spent time in Norwegian rock band Di Derre and been a journalist and a financial analyst.
