Meanwhile still no word of transmission dates for series three of the other Morse spin-off, Endeavour, after season two's cliffhanger ending.
Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) is being stitched up for the murder of the Chief Constable while his senior officer, DI Thursday (the brilliant Roger Allam), is close to death after being shot in the chest.Series 3 will have four two-hour episodes and brings the drama up to 1967 and the Summer of Love.
