Colin Farrell in 'True Detective'

Colin Farrell plays Detective Ray Velcoro in the second season of HBO's anthology crime series True Detective, which begins this week.

The all-new cast also includes Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Kelly Reilly. While season one involved a serial killer in Louisiana, season two switches to Los Angeles where a crooked cop (Farrell) is paying his debt to a mob boss (Vaughn).



Farrell and Vaughn have also appeared across networks to plug the series, including The Tonight Show with host Jimmy Fallon.





True Detective airs on Sunday nights on HBO in the US, and Mondays in the UK and Ireland on Sky Atlantic (in Ireland the repeats are on Tuesday and Sunday nights).
