Corvus signs thriller by TCD student

A mature student studying for a BA in English Literature at Trinity College Dublin has been signed by Corvus for her debut crime thriller Distress Signals, which will be published in about 12 months' time.

Corvus describes Irish author Catherine Ryan Howard's novel as "The Girl on the Train meets Murder on the Orient Express".
When Adam’s girlfriend Sarah fails to return from a Barcelona business trip, his perfect life begins to fall apart. Days later, the arrival of her passport and a note that reads "I’m sorry – S" sets off alarm bells.
His quest to find her leads him to a cruise ship, where another woman has disappeared in suspicious circumstances.
Howard has previously self-published two travel memoirs and has led workshops for Faber Academy, the Irish Writers' Centre and Publishing Ireland. She has also freelanced for Penguin Ireland.
