'Taken Down' police drama starts on RTÉ

RTÉ's latest police procedural Taken Down began this week. The six-part series is set in Dublin and involves asylum seekers and a murky underworld of trafficking and prostitution.

A young Nigerian girl is found dead at a bus stop, opening an investigation into her death and leading Inspector Jen Rooney (Lynn Rafferty) to a direct provision centre at Poolbeg.

The writing credits include Jo Spain and Love/Hate's creator Stuart Carolan. The opening episode will be available on the RTÉ Player until 4th December 2018.
