First 'Dead in Dún Laoghaire' festival


Penguin Random House Ireland and the Irish Times have joined forces for the inaugural "Dead in Dún Laoghaire" festival this July.

Several leading Irish and international crime authors have already been lined up to take part, including:

  • Paula Hawkins, author of Girl On The Train
  • Liz Nugent and Karen Perry (writing duo Paul Perry and Karen Gillece) in conversation about crime writing in Ireland today 
  • John Banville and Stuart Neville on "the fun and the challenges of creating an alter ego", as Benjamin Black and Haylen Beck respectively
  • Forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, the  inspiration behind the hit TV series Bones

The one-day festival takes place on Saturday 22 July 2017, with all the above events taking place in the Pavilion Theatre.
