Iceland is increasingly the setting of psychological thrillers and crime dramas on the small screen, and more are in the pipeline.
Earlier this year, Trapped was a more or less indigenous production. Sky Atlantic's more big-budget Fortitude had more of a horror element and was set in Arctic Norway - but filmed in Reyðarfjörður in Iceland.
Fortitude's cast in its initial season included Stanley Tucci, Richard Dormer, Christopher Eccleston, Michael Gambon and Sofie Gråbøl. It was Sky Atlantic’s biggest drama commission to date, and has been bought by broadcasters in more than 170 territories.
Gråbøl and Dormer return for the forthcoming second season, and cast additions include Rebus's Ken Stott, Hollywood star Dennis Quaid, and Irish actors Robert Sheehan and Michelle Fairley.
Here is the new teaser for the horror thriller, which is due to be broadcast towards the end of this year.
